Senior (Full Stack) Ruby on Rails Engineer

About me

Hi, I’m Hasstrup, a software engineer of 9 years' experience, currently based in Malaga, Spain. I’m a full-stack engineer, and I have spent most of my professional experience working with startups in Europe and America.

I primarily write Ruby (including Rails and Sinatra for web development), Golang, and NodeJS on the server side, plus JavaScript/TypeScript (ReactJS, Angular) on the client. I’ve written Ruby on Rails and React professionally for 8 years now and have been responsible for delivering solutions with these technologies to millions of users over this time.

I like to think I have an affinity for learning, doing difficult things, and putting my best work forward. I also pride myself on my ability to ideate, build, ship, and maintain solutions to fairly complex problems at scale. I’m happiest when talking to or about users and their product satisfaction, and how that combination brings growth (in value and business) to my organization.
