I’m a Rails developer who actually enjoys the "plumbing" of web applications. Give me a slow database query or a complex job queue, and I’m happy.

I have a unique background that started in hardware and networking before I moved full-time into software 13 years ago. This means I don't just write code; I understand the infrastructure it lives on. After years of mastering the Monolith, I'm eager to join a team where I can apply my Ruby skills to distributed systems and larger-scale architectures. Based in the Chicago area (Rolling Meadows), but I’ve been successfully working remotely for years.
