Energetic and collaborative Ruby career-changer - looking for a fun team

About me

Hello! I'm looking to join a close-knit team of developers where I can make a meaningful impact and build strong relationships with my colleagues. For me, making an impact means not only creating effective solutions with clean code but also fostering a supportive team culture and contributing to shared learning.

Since completing a bootcamp, I’ve developed a passion for Ruby, Rails, and their convention-driven approach. I was recommended for my clean code, communication skills, and ability to quickly pick things up and innovate. Since then, I’ve been working as a teaching assistant on the same course and am now eager to take on my first developer role, confident that I have a lot to offer.

I have experience with Heroku, GitHub, CI/CD, Ruby, RoR, and agile methodologies, and I’m currently learning React. I’m also keen to explore React Native for mobile projects and to continue learning new technologies.

I’ve worked on optimising RoR applications and enjoy tackling performance challenges. The idea of working in a high-scale environment, managing a large volume of Sidekiq jobs and requests, is exciting to me.

For me, a great user experience is one of the most important aspects of development. No matter how well tools function, they should be fun, intuitive, and ideally bring people together. Thank you.
